"Ive know Mystery Washburn Gauthier now more than 25 years and I truly believe she has finally found her calling. Before she went to school to become a death doula I honestly had never heard of the occupation. I've since been researching it and feel its truly an asset to our community with the right person. Someone with patience, compassion and empathy to help carryout the hard tasks of planning memorials, legacies and just an everyday ear. Since I was a teenager Mystery has been there for me at times of loss as greif support. She was the first person I would call. The first time I called her in tears was after two close friends died in a car wreck the day after Christmas in 2003. Without hesitation she dropped everything and rushed to my aid. She was there to listen and give support and definitely helped me through that time. Even more recent, last year my younger brother passed away very sudden and unexpected. I had never been more devastated. She wrote a beautiful letter that was read at his memorial, being a close friend to me all these years she knows my family too. She not only answered my calls during odd hours when I needed someone to just be there and listen she also shared beautiful memories of him making it easier to focus on celebrating his life and move forward. Death is never without pain or sadness but while others may feel awkward or not know how to help she has a gentle gift during these times that is unmatched. I was so grateful to have her support. I would recommend her to anyone facing these hard times whether dealing with one's own end of life or"
